ANIMAL HUMANE SOCIETIES
For the pet aspect of our farm, we exclusively breed beagles; our property however, has been a home for several adopted dogs from animal humane societies. Animals arrive to shelters for a variety of reasons and if you are patient, you may be able to get a quality beagle for a fraction of the price you would pay for a full-breed animal.
RETIRED BREED BEAGLES
Individuals looking for a reasonably priced beagle puppy, should consider that within a year, your fur baby will become a full-sized adult dog. Breed dogs are carefully selected by reputable breeders; they are the backbone of our business. The health and welfare of our puppies, is dependent upon the puppy's mom. Breed dogs are well-fed, well socialized and very healthy. Most Breeders, breed their females when they are 1.5-2 years of age and retire the female from breeding when they are 4 or 5 years of age. The retirement age for males depends on their productivity.
When a breed dog is retired, Breeders typically have the dog vet-checked, spayed and re-homed for less than $800. Since beagles usually live for 15 years or longer, you can purchase a top-quality animal for a very reasonable price. While you will miss the endearing moments of puppyhood, you also avoid the most destructive/adolescent stage of their development.
